Yo Maps’ Debut Album “Komando” Hits Over Ten Million Views On Boomplay

Yo Maps is super talented and everyone knows it. But something special about him is how his music manages to break records and set it own. It is no doubt he is currently the biggest artist in Zambia.

Since the release of his debut album Komando late last month (October 30th), Yo Maps quickly climbed the radder to become the most streamed artist in Zambia as well as sitting on top of the weekly streamed project on Africa’s giant streaming platform, Boomplay.

The album was aced by the release of the lead single Komando featuring Slap Dee which really gave fans a true picture of what was being anticipated in the album. The whole project comprised of top tier Zambian artists such as Bobby East, Mumba Yachi, Jay Rox, Chef 187, Tiye P, Roberto, Shenky as well as international acts such as Namandingo & Temi.

The album swiftly shot to the top on all local chats, including Radio countdowns.

Now it seems those records are not enough, as he has again reached a latest milestone of hitting over 10 million streams in less than a month of his initial release of the Komando project. Even though the records could translate into an awesome income for the artist, it also gives him a wider coverage across the continent musically as he is already sitting ahead of other popular artists like JoeBoy & Fireboy DML.

Yo Maps first shared his achievement through his Social Media Platforms, and has since received tremendous support from other artists and fans for putting his country out there. While at the same time, Yo Maps music videos have been doing wonders on Youtube, with his single “Pick it Up” alongside Mic Burner already reaching 5 Million views earlier this week.
