Who Is RasDee?

David Mwansa Musonda is the second born in a family of nine. He was birthed in the flourishing town of Chambishi, Kalulushi, Copperbelt. Unfortunately, he lost his female parent when he was only doing his eleventh Grade at Kalulushi High School. Even though the loss broke him apart, he succesifully completed his Secondary Education.

He has developed an interest in rap music at an early age, getting his inspiration from the like of SlapDee, who had a major impact into influencing the young rapper into doing battle rap contentst way back in High School.

Music Career, Influence And Direction

Being a man of faith, RasDee was inspired by the Holy Spirit through Prophet William Marion Branham, Martin Luther, Hilsong United, Ephraim Mutalange, Suwilanji, Psalm51, Pompi, Lecrae, KB, Tedashii, Trip Lee & more.

RasDee started recording his music within his neighbourhood; creating unprofessional Music with the likes of Jontos, DJ Mustard, Wizdors, Psalm51, Crew Gee and Kumbukani Groove. His first professional song was recorded by Big Scenes; and he called it “Overcomers

The song opened doors for him, leading to a contract under DJ Mzengaman at MBeats Generation Music. The follow up was another hit single entiled “I Made It

However, his biggest record thus far came when he finally got a chance to work with Kantu in “God Will Bless” in the process meeting Born Chezzy who made the connection for RasDee to work with Yellow Dove in yet another oustanding project called “Ndikufuna Yesu.

In 2019, RasDee released three (3) songs, Confessions featuring Taria which was produced by long time friend DJ Mustard, Everyday featuring Prince Mychael & Standing On The Mighty Jehova.

2020 looks fair for him too, he has already released two outstanding projects: Kuli Ba Yesu Ndekonka which features Wisdors & If God Is For Us, Who can Be Against Us.
