Introduction

After being stabbed to death by unknown criminals in the night, a man surprisingly survives by the help of his mysterious lover. However before she could explain the reason behind his just discovered immortality, he does the unthinkable hence compromising both his new life and that of the people he loves….

VERSE TWO : "Godspeed"

A melancholy echoed silently to the ballad of old;

Tears chasing down the mysteries of unfortunate epics told-

Heroes fallen, warriors forgotten, burried and cold.

My love weeped to the ballad of old!

How she managed to find and hide me I do not know

But my suspicion towards this lady grew even more

There is more to find out yet I was helpless

As I lay in her bed, my thoughts grew even stranger

Her face glittered, her body shined, she looked faultless

But my conciousness screamed “You are in danger”

At last she opened up, gazing straight into my eye

“I chose you, thats why I couldnt let you die,

Your wound will heal fast, and you will be alright

But everything else about you will change

Your heart now will be filled with revenge

You will be a super human in a fortnight”

“You will be mean, never to feel love or hate

You alone will decide every humans fate

Your soul is mine but the life is yours to keep

This is a curse you have to live with for eternity.

With you the world will no longer mourn or weep

You shall be the greatest source of balance and serenity”

“You shall move in speed, swifter than lightening

Sometimes you will not understand what might be happening

But Justice you shall uphold, to both  the least and great

Evil shall scamper at your sight

Everyone will admire your might

Your only weakeness will be this dagger made of brait”

At first I thought I was a vampire

Or maybe she was making of me a satire

But the quick healing of my wound proved she was speaking the truth

I suddenly realised she was older than her age

Despite her sweet looks of beauty and of youth

And it made my veins burn with rage.

I soon realised I had to fight a way to escape that place

But most importantly I had to find a way to end my curse

A thought run into me-

There should be a way to kill this shinning star;

“If I could die with a diamond dagger, so can she…

And if I am to leave forever it should be without her”

So having regained my conscious and strength

I stood up close to her, took a deep breath,

looked straight into her eyes as I said “I love you”

knowing well her love for me was her greatest weakness

And right before she could say “I love you too”

I swiftly thrust the legendary dagger of ages straight to her heart.

She fell to the ground as her heart turned cold

Revealing her grey hair of age and old!

For the first time I felt some level of satisfaction

As I watched her glamorous face fade off its attraction

And I was of my demons completely freed

As she whispered softly “Godspeed my love, Godspeed!”

And so a melancholy echoed silently to the ballad of old;

Tears chasing down the mysteries of unfortunate epics told-

Angels fallen, beauty forgotten, burried and cold.

My love weeped to the ballad of old!
